Overview

Facilitate the communication of information between Sales, Barge Operations, and Shipyard personnel including special operations, equipment jobs, gathering of updates, supporting coordination of cleaning activities, and resolution/notification of incidents. Includes both office and field work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and Coordinate hose purchasing, tracking, distribution, cleaning and availability.

  • Coordinate miscellaneous equipment (i.e. DA’s, Nitrogen Bottles, Skid pumps, and filter pots).

  • Setup and schedule barge special operations, including new and changed orders, verify and requirements to shipyards.

  • Route Purchase Orders to vendors and shipyards for ancillary work.

  • Support Cleaning Coordinator as needed.

  • Coordinate with shipyards regarding availability, instructions, issues.

  • Track/report equipment status and maintenance.

  • Ensure proper S.D.S. information is provided to vendors/shipyards.

     

  • Coordinate safety operations at Shipyards both internal and external.

     

  • Verify invoices and orders for Sales, M&R and Accounts Payable.

     

  • Cost savings analysis.

     

  • Handle special requests from supervisor regarding data reports, invoices, historical information and any shipyard/vendor related issues.

     

  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

     

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to communicate with others.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment. (Word, Excel, Access, and Oasis.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.

 

Experience:

Basic knowledge and use of computer software: E-mail, Oasis, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
